Job Description
University professor, 4, Department of Business. Workload demands by position: 9 conventional hours/week:
Insurance and reinsurance (Romanian language): lecture (4 hours /week) bachelor level in the 1st semester
Insurance and reinsurance (English language): lecture (2,5 hours /week) bachelor level in the 1st semester
Insurance and reinsurance (Romanian language): seminar (1 hour /week) bachelor level in the 1st semester
Risk control and risk financing, (Romanian language): seminar (1.5 hours /week) master level in the 1st semester
Language of teaching: Romanian, English
For the professor position must be met minimal standards on all the activities, criteria and indicators established to fill this function, by order of Ministry of Education on the proposal establishing these minimum standards CNATDCU specialized committees.
The scientific performance of the candidates must be according to the Finance area and to the job description, and the research area mentioned in the competition anouncement.
Candidates must prove their English language proficiency by providing documents that can prove this with at least C1 level or to proove with certificates studies or internships in countries/English on a minimum cumulative continuous training period of at least 9 months

Activities related to the evaluation in the exam board for bachelor and masters thesis

Job application contest topics
For the professor’s position, the competition consists of:
1. evaluation of the candidate file
2. a public lecture of minimum 30 minutes will be held by the candidates in which they present a relevant topic for the position’s field, at his/her choice – on 29-th of January 2019 at 9:00 a.m., room 217, Business Faculty (Horea Street No. 7,Cluj Napoca, Romania) followed by a question session
The public lecture will be held in English.
In this assessment, the candidate file presenting his/her professional achievements, counts for 75% and the public lecture holds a share of 25% of the final mark proposed by each member of the commission in the individual report drawn up.
The evaluating of the scientific activity will take into account the quality of publications in relation to the requirements of the teaching position.

Job application contest procedures
1. The Chief of the Department proposes a competition should be organized for the didactic positions, the Department Council and the Faculty Council takes notice of these positions, Dean of the Faculty and the Administration Council approves them;
2. The positions in competition are publicly announced according to the legal requirements in force;
3. The Chief of the Department proposes the board of examiners and appeal committee after consulting the Department Council. The commissions are supervised by the Department Council, Faculty Council, by the specialized Senate Committee, subsequently approved by the University Senate and by the Rector
4. The candidates prepare the competition files
5. The candidates will submit detailed application (competition) files at the special bureau at the rector’s office, will meet the deadline for registration, respectively the calendar of competitions communicated by the university
6. Evaluation commission checks the fulfillment of the prerequisites for taking part in the competition, as well as the content of the files, which should comply with the BBU requirements for teaching and research positions; establish the resolution that includes the opinion on the candidate's fulfillment of the job requirements
7. Based on resolution of evaluation commission the Legal office of the University checks the fulfillment of the prerequisites for taking part in the competition as well as the content of the files and certify that are in accordance with BBU Regulation
8. The board of examiners decides the competition procedures, according to BBU Regulation;
9. The competition takes place in conformity with what has been established at the previous point. Consequently, the board of examiners will perform the following activities: verify the conditions linked to the candidates participation in the competition; analyze the application files; organize the lecture; fill in an evaluation table of the candidates
10. At the end of the lecture the board of examiners provides an individual report for each candidate. The president of the board of examiners prepares a report that presents each candidate’s grade points and grade point average that will be vote by the members of commission. The vote will be secret. The report will be supervised by the Department Council and by the specialized Senate Committee on University
11. The results of the competition, including the grade points averages will displayed on the faculty notice board
12. The Rector will appoint and will grant the professor title
