University professor, position no. 5 in the organizational chart teaches fundamental and specialty courses that are necessary for the training of the Orthodox Church clergy, as well as the training of middle and high school religious teachers and include:
– History of Romanian Orthodox Church: a course taken by students in the second year, second semester, “Pastoral Orthodox Theology” bachelor’s program, 3 classes.
– History of Orthodox theological education in Arad: a course taken by students in the first year, second semester, “Pastoral Orthodox Theology” bachelor’s program, 1 class.
– Ethics in scientific research and Academic integrity: a course taken by students in the first year, first semester, doctoral program, 1 class.
– Importance of church publications in Romanian culture: a course taken by students in the first year, first and second semesters, “Christian doctrine and culture” master’s program, 2 classes.
– Principles of today’s theology-culture dialogue: a course taken by students in the second year, first and second semesters, “Christian doctrine and culture” master’s program, 2 classes.

Job application contest procedures
The standards pertaining to the professor position are minimum and mandatory requests for applying at the contest for occupying the mentioned position.
The candidate must cumulatively comply with the conditions imposed by the minimum national standards and by the university`s standards for each teaching and research position for which he wants to attend the concurs.
The candidate must also comply with the following specific conditions to occupy the mentioned position:
- To be a graduate of the Faculty of Pastoral Orthodox Theology
- To have a PhD in Theology
- attestation of qualification in the field of Theology
- diploma of graduation of the psycho-pedagogical module or equivalent document
The contest for occupying the position of university professor consists in analyzing the dossier for contest, and delivering a public university lecture of minimum 45 minutes, during which the candidate presents his most important personal achievements, and concerning the development of his professional carrier. This exam contains mandatorily a session of questions from the commission and from the
public.
The candidates who do not come from the tertiary education will also deliver a didactical lecture to the students, in the presence of the commission. The theme for this lecture will be announced to the candidates 48 hours before the contest, via e-mail and on the web page of the “Aurel Vlaicu” University.
The commission evaluates the candidates having in view the following aspects:
a) Compliance with the minimum criteria imposed by CNATCDU and U.A.V.;
b) The relevance and the impact of the scientific achievements of the candidate;
c) The capacity of the candidate to guide students and your researchers;
d) The didactical competences of the candidates, for position which involve didactical activities;
e) The capacity of the candidate of transferring his knowledge and his results to the economic and social environment, or of promoting his own scientific results;
f) The capacity of the candidate of team work and the efficiency of his scientific collaborations, regarding the specificity of the candidate`s domain;
g) The capacity of the candidate to lead research – development projects;
h) The experience of the candidate in other institution than the one where the position applied is.

d) a proposal for the development of the academic career of the candidate both from a teaching point of view, in the case of teaching positions, as well as from the point of view of scientific research activities; the proposal is drafted by the candidate, contains a maximum of 10 pages and is one of the main criteria for separating the candidates. The document is signed on each page in the bottom right corner with a pen or blue ink.
e) curriculum vitae of the candidate in printed and electronic format, drawn up according to Art. 15. The document is signed on each page in the lower right corner with a pen or blue ink.
f) the candidate's list of works, in printed and electronic format, drawn up in accordance with Art 16. The document is signed on each page in the lower right corner with a pen or blue ink.
g) the verification sheet for the fulfillment of the standards of the university of presentation for the competition, whose standard format is provided by the own methodology in Annex 4. The verification sheet is completed and signed by the candidate on each page in the bottom right corner with pen or ink. blue. This will be accompanied by the proof of the fulfillment of the criteria, in electronic format.
h) documents regarding the possession of the doctor's diploma: a copy according to the original or legalized of the doctor's diploma and, if the original doctor's diploma is not recognized in Romania, the certificate of recognition or equivalence;
i) documents regarding the holding of the certificate of qualification in the field of the disciplines from the competition post (for the candidates to the position of university professor): copy of the certificate of qualification according to the original or legalized;
j) the summary, in Romanian and in a language of international circulation, of the doctoral thesis and / or, as the case may be, of the qualification thesis, on a maximum of one page for each language;
k) declaration on the own responsibility of the candidate indicating the incompatibility situations provided by Law no. 1/2011 in which they would be in case of winning the competition or the lack of these incompatibility situations (Annex 8);
l) the copy after the Official Monitor in which the post was published;
m) copies of other diplomas attesting to the candidate's studies: baccalaureate diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree or equivalent; master's degree (accompanied by the supplement to the diploma / sheet) - copies according to the original or legalized;
n) a copy of the identity card or, if the candidate does not have an identity card, the passport or other identity document drawn up for a purpose equivalent to the identity card or passport;
o) in case the candidate has changed his name, copies of the documents attesting the change of name - marriage certificate or the proof of changing the copy name according to the original or legalized;
p) list with maximum 10 publications, patents or other works of the candidate, selected by him and considered to be the most relevant for his own professional achievements. The maximum 10 works, in extenso, will be submitted to the file and in electronic format after scanning them in * .pdf format.
q) birth certificate - certified copy;
r) the list with the names and contact addresses of the at least 3 personalities in the field who have elaborated letters of recommendation and letters of recommendation, for the positions of university lecturer and university professor, prepared according to Art.17;
s) Competition file CD (it will contain all the documents physically submitted to the file (those provided in letters d-q) and those provided in electronic format). The documents contained in the file will be scanned in * .pdf format.
