Associate Professor, pos. 12 - Department no. 4 - Prosthetics and Dental Materials - Prosthetic Dental, Aesthetic Discipline. The position is included in the department's staff establishment approved for the 2019-2020 academic year. The total number of conventional hours for teaching activities is 9 hours per week, of which 4,5 hours for lectures 4,5 hours for practical activities. |

1. Delivering lectures and teaching practical courses in accordance with the curriculum and the teaching positions allocation plan. 2. Assessing and evaluating students. 3. Coordinating student extracurricular activity groups, supervising projects and undergraduate theses. 4. Participating in scientific research activities within the department and in activities organized within the department, faculty and university. 5. Participating in committees for entrance examination and graduation, participating in council meetings and in education-related committees. |

| Job application contest procedures |
(1) Applicants have to deliver a public presentation. (2) The presentation is one hour long. (3) The presentation includes the applicant’s most significant professional achievements as well as an academic and professional development plan and is followed by a questions and answers session from the Evaluation Board and the audience. (4) The presentation is open to the public. All the members of the Evaluation Board must be present. Applicants are awarded a pass or fail. (5) The day, time and venue of the presentation are posted on the university website at least five working days prior to the event. (6) Applicants awarded a fail are eliminated from the competition.

The application file for the position of Associate Professor includes the following documents in this order: 1. Table of contents; 2. 2 photographs (¾ cm); 3. Receipt proving payment of the competition fee, according to University regulations; 4. Application form, approved by the Legal Department of the University (see Appendix 10); 5. Statutory declaration regarding the authenticity of the information included in the application file; 6. Non-plagiarism statement: handwritten declaration stating that the data included in the file reflect the applicant’s own activities and achievements; otherwise, the applicant shall bear the consequences of a false statement according to the current legislation (see Appendix 8) 7. Statutory declaration regarding the incompatibility situations stipulated by the National Education Law no. 1/2011, Art. 130, paragraph (1), letter b) that applicants might find themselves in if they won the competition or the lack thereof (see Appendix 8) 8. Check-up form for compliance with the university application standards for entering the competition, completed and signed by the Dean (see Appendix 18); 9. Applicant Reference Form provided by the applicant’s employer; 10. Peer evaluation form completed with “Good” or “Very good” by the applicant’s colleagues and head of discipline; 11. Evaluation form completed by the head of discipline regarding the quality of the applicant’s teaching activities; 12. List of at least three names and contact addresses of international personalities in the field who agreed to write recommendation letters on behalf of the applicant and who work in higher education and research institutions included in the list approved by Order of the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports, according to Art. 216, paragraph (2), letter F of Law no. 1/2011; 13. An academic and professional development plan proposed by the candidate, focusing on teaching as well as research activities; the plan is presented in a document of maximum 10 pages and represents one of the main criteria in selecting candidates; 14. The applicant’s Europass Curriculum Vitae (see Appendix 17) in printed and electronic form; 15. The applicant’s list of publications in printed and electronic form (see Appendices); 16. Proof of having participated in research grants (Research and Development Department or similar departments in other institutions); 17. Appendix 13 regarding research grants (Research and Development Department or similar departments in other institutions) approved by the Department of Research, Development and Innovation; 18. A list in electronic format of maximum 10 publications, patents or other samples of representative work, selected by the applicant and considered to be the most relevant for his or her professional achievements (see Appendices); 19. Proof of lectures delivered in the last 2 years, signed by the Head of Discipline; 20. Book donation receipt from the Library of the “Iuliu Haţieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy (if applicable); 21. Language Proficiency Certificate (English or French); 22. A summary of the candidate’s doctoral or Habilitation thesis, in Romanian and in an international language, of up to one page per each language, in printed as well as in electronic format; 23. Copy of identity card / passport or other valid identification document, according to the current legislation. 24. Copies of: a) PhD diploma; b) Graduate and/or Master’s Degree diploma and transcripts; c) Baccalaureate diploma and transcripts; d) Birth certificate; e) Marriage certificate (if applicable) or other proof of name change. 25. Proof of the applicant’s hospital activity; 26. Proof of becoming a specialist doctor (copy) or notarized copies of the titles of specialist or consultant; 27. Proof of employment; 28. Three medical certificates issued by three consultants (in Neurology, Psychiatry and ENT) stating that the applicant does not suffer from diseases that prevent him/her from carrying out teaching activities (hypoacusis, dyslexia, psychoses/manias); 29.
