Job Description
The position of Associate Professor, position 7 in the State of Functions of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, within the Faculty of Social and Humanistic Sciences, University of Oradea, includes:
- teaching norm of 8 conventional hours / week: teaching activities (course), seminar activities, practical and laboratory works;
- research norm;
- other activities: didactic training, student guidance, perfecting, material elaboration - within the limit of 40 physical hours / week, respectively 720 hours in the first semester and 920 hours in the second semester.
The occupation of this position involves specialized studies in the field of Social Work and Sociology at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level.
The position holder is directly subordinated to the Head of Department and collaborates with colleagues from the Department of Sociology and Social Work.
Duties and responsibilities:
- designing, planning and organizing teaching and scientific activities;
- use of teaching materials;
- designing and applying student assessment tools;
- using optimal ways of communicating with students;
- organizing / participating in scientific events;
- publishing of teaching and scientific materials;
- participation in pedagogical perfecting activities in the field of specialty;
- guiding the students' preparation: consultations, tutoring, elaboration of papers for completion of studies.
Related duties / activities
Teaching norm: 8 conventional hours / week and 32 conventional hours / month.

- consultations; tutoring: guiding students to choose the career path within the system of transferable credits;
- participation in meetings, commissions and councils in the interest of education;
- scientific and methodical training activities - individual training (self-improvement);
- participation in conferences organized in the main field of activity or in collateral, interdisciplinary fields;
- involvement in the organization of conferences in the main field of activity or in collateral fields;
- elaboration of didactic materials and specialized articles;
- scientific research activities provided in the internal plan.
